An 8 week sono is completely unreliable for diagnosing fetal anomalies. I know that you can't put it out of your mind, but it is not significant at all. Remember, the whole fetus at 8 weeks is less than 2cm, and the U/S can only reach a resolution of about 1cm. There is NO ability to appreciate any details at that point in pregnancy.
