bicuspid aortic valve and severe toxemiaFrom: Jody (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Apr 2001 19:35:48 -0700
Hi! Here is my story, I have five boy's, my first pregnancy was complicated with mild toxemia, next I had 3 pregnancies with no complications. My fifth pregnance I had severe toxemia,bp 207/105 the baby was born 3 wks early by cesarean weighing 4lbs 10oz. and was very weak(had to be tube fed for 1wk). I was put on BP pills as my blood pressure would not go back to normal. I was able to go off of the pills and now have a normal blood pressure again! All 5 children have the same father, I know this is important since I did become toxic twice . Now I have found out I have a bicuspid aortic valve with moderate regurgitation, I would like to know what risks are involved if I were to have another child? What are the chances of me having a normal pregnancy? Thankyou for your time!
