I doubt the hemorrhage was hormonally related as it was so near to the pregnancy, it was surely pregnancy related. Your other 2 options are to try progesterone only, given in the postovulatory phase of your cycle, or possibly to look inside with a hysteroscope to see if you have a fibroid or polyp in the uterus that is causing the problem.
