22 Weeks, Doctors Disagreeing

I am 22 weeks and have been on complete bedrest for marginal placenta previa for 5 weeks. I have had off and on brown/pink light discharge. I just had another ultrasound with the Perionatalogist. The placenta is now 2 1/2 inches away from my cervix, so we are very sure that it is not a previa and will be up and out of the way by delivery. However, the Perio. said he would prefer I stay on bedrest for 3 more weeks, until my next ultrasound, since it appears to be working.

I then met with my regular OB; he said the report was fantastic and that I did not need to be on bedrest anymore. I should "take it easy but go about my business". He called the Perio., and they "fussed and cussed" in my OB's words. They compromised and said one more week of bedrest, and if no spotting, I can go to work (in an office) then, etc. I asked him to define spotting. The OB is not concerned with brown and pink; he is concerned about red. I have not had red bleeding at all. My OB's point is that I've had the brown/pink occassionally rather I'm on bedrest or not. He is not convinced that it's from the placenta.

So, to bring this long story to an end, I am nervous. I did not complain about the 3 additional weeks, although I would love to be freed from the bedrest. My OB took it upon himself to call the Perio. and complain about his order. I'm confused and don't know if I should go back to work (part-time) after one week. Thanks!!!
