BBT and progesteroneFrom: Cyn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 21 Apr 2001 06:25:53 -0500 (CDT)
I am 4 weeks, 2days pregnant. I found out EXTREMELY early-at 10dpo. My temps were pretty high, with 2 (possible) implantation drops at 7 and 9dpo. Then, my temps stayed around 99 degrees. At 11dpo, my hCG level was 106. Then, at 14dpo, my temps dropped down to 98.6. Yesterday was 98.7, then today it went down to 98.3. My temps are still 6/10 of a degree above my coverline, but the huge drops make me wonder. Are BBTs related to progesterone levels? Could the drops in temps mean I might have a progesterone deficiency? Or, can pregnancy temps fluctuate that much and still be ok? Everyone tells me to throw out my thermometer, but I know there are progesterone supplements that have saved some friends' pregnancies. Should I be concerned? If you feel that progesterone might be the problem, are there any OTC prog. supps? (My Dr. won't be in until next Mon.) Thank you! -Cynthia
