Bleeding & cramping at 13 weeks - what is the possible causeFrom: Alexandrah (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Apr 2001 16:03:57 -0500 (CDT)
Three days ago my doctor was performing a vaginal examination for a bacterial infection that I've had on an off for a couple weeks, all of a sudden I started bleeding. My doctor investigated and couldn't find the cause of the bleeding, but he assured me that it wasn't coming from my cervix. He recommended that I wear a pad for the rest of the day to catch the blood (the blood was bright red and HEAVY for 5 minutes). Ever since the visit with the doctor I have had cramping (like mentral cramps) and light bleeding (brownish color). Could this be a miscarriage or the bacterial infection that is causing the cramping & bleeding.
