I am likely going to have a d&c because I have had no cramping or bleeding. I am 43 years old and have a fibroid which is 10 cm, up from 8 cm last month. My fibroid is growing rapidly, and my blood hcg was 149,000 at 7 weeks. My question is this: My belly is growing rapidly. I don't fit into any of my clothes. It had a big growth spurt at 8 weeks...after I was told pregnancy wasn't viable. I will be 9 weeks this weekend. I am planning the d&c for next week at 9 1/2 weeks. Is it normal to still be growing when there is no fetus? Is growth due to hormones? Other pregnancy tissue? Fibroid? I am very worried.
