chemical pregnancy

Last October I had a chemical pregnancy. My doctor said this was good news because it showed I was ovulating, the sperm and egg were compatible etc. However, I have been monitoring my bbts and have shown a short luteal phase and late ovulation (day 19 or 20) My question is, what does this chemical pregnancy rule out as far as fertility problems? Does it prove that my tubes are open?
