How soon and what features can be seen in a baby with anecephaly? My friend recently had a sonogram and the tech said all looks well. The head measured at 17w2d the belly and femur at 17w. For some reason she is afraid of her baby having anecephaly. she got a great profile picture and she is still nervous. I told her that I thought if the baby had any defect like anecephaly the head measuremenst would be off and a radiologist or MD would have been called in to take another look at the sono.
