problems with current ob.

I will be 34 weeks pregnant this coming Friday. I had switched doctors because I was unsatisfied with my previous one. Everything was fine up until yesterday when I actually had some complaints (before I had none). I was complaining of contractions, lower and middle back pain, and yellow mucus (thick) from my vagina. This is my third baby. He wrote off all my symptoms as normal, and didn't even check my cervix. I also told him that I thought that I had a u.t.i. (I get frequent ones.) and he did not even think it necessary to check my urine. I just need some advice here. Do you think that a) he was right in what he did? or b) that I should get a new doctor? I just hate to do that so far in my pregnancy. Can someone please give me some advice. Also, what would the symptoms be if I just had a slow leak of amniotic fluid? I can't tell the difference if it is a uti, or fluid leaking. It doesn't smell like urine, but it is not much liquid either. Thanks so much in advance for your answers.
