I conceived my daughter on my first month of 50 mg. Clomid after TTC for 3 years. I did not have any side effects at all. It did however take about 1 week after my missed period to show positive. So no, you're not jumping the gun. As a matter of a fact, I had also been temping and the one month I took Clomid, my doctor told me not to. I hope this gives you some peace of mind.
