5w 6d u/s vs. 6w 1d u/sFrom: Sabrena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Apr 2001 22:45:57 -0500 (CDT)
I had an original u/s done at 5w2d which showed 2 gestational sacs, one of which for sure had a yolk sac and the other could not get a look at because of the exam being uncomfortable. I work in L&D and one of the residents did a quick look see on me today at 5w6d and again saw 2 gestational sacs and for sure 1 yolk. I believe that there will more than likely be a vanished twin with this pregnancy. The yolk sac in the other appeared bigger that the previous u/s. I am concerned because there was not yet a fetal pole or heartbeat. My next u/s will be 6 w 1d, should I expect to see a pole and heartbeat then or not since it is still a twin gestation? I am worried that out of the 2 I will not have a viable pregnancy. These have all been transvaginal. Just for history my betas were as follows: 11dpo-51.56 21dpo-308.42 (slow progression or lab error I think) 23dpo-7005.4 24dpo- 2 sacs and 1 definite yolk seen, baby B questionable Thank you so much!
