I work in L&D and one of the residents did a quick look see on me today at 5w6d and again saw 2 gestational sacs and for sure 1 yolk. I believe that there will more than likely be a vanished twin with this pregnancy. The yolk sac in the other appeared bigger that the previous u/s. I am concerned because there was not yet a fetal pole or heartbeat. My next u/s will be 6 w 1d, should I expect to see a pole and heartbeat then or not since it is still a twin gestation? I am worried that out of the 2 I will not have a viable pregnancy. These have all been transvaginal.
