Early pregnancy or miscarriage?From: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 7 Apr 2001 23:43:16 -0500 (CDT)
I began taking clomid on the 3rd day of my cycle. (My cycles are somewhat irregular, but tend to be around 42 days. This cycle began after taking provera to create a more regular cycle.) After 35 days I had not started a cycle, so my physician did an ultrasound and found a sac in the uterine lining, but I had a negative serum test (count=0). He said he presumes I had a miscarriage. He's prescribed Provera for 10 days assuming it's a miscarriage and assuring me that in the extremely remote chance it is a pregnancy the provera won't hurt me or the baby. Is it possible to have a negative test and still be pregnant due to late ovulation?
