At the hospital where I had my ultrasounds done, they don't even give you the water until you get there. Then they have you drink (or try to) 2 glasses. I would wait as close to the time of your ultrasound as possible (20-30 minutes before) and have a BIG glass of water. I always had to go to the bathroom terribly bad after my ultrasounds!
