Remeber this is all a numbers game. All we can do, without an amniocentesis, is give you a risk. We can never say the baby does or does not have Down without testing its chromosomes. We can say the risk is low or high, but that is it. Also, it has been my experience that many people change their mind about whether or nto they would have an abortion after they have the amnio results.
