One month later I get a bill from the hospital for an amount of $9000. I live in the state of arizona in the USA. I do have insurance that pays 90% of the cost, but it still boggles my mind that a regulary scheduled D&C would cost so much if it were done in a hospital. I have verified that the hospital did not make a mistake with the charges and that was what they intended to bill me. Can anyone tell me if this appears typical and that I am not been taken for a ride?
