Heather:

This sounds all too familiar. I had extremely nad sciatic nerve pain down my right hip, leg and foot. I couldn't even lay on the ultrasound table without crying my eyes out it hurt so bad. Does it only bother you when you are laying down??? Mine hurt when I walked too. If it hurts when walking, I know this sound crazy, but get a cane. I finally had to do that because I couldn't move!! I know they say it is best to lay on your left side, and not on your back, but if on your back gives you relief then do it. I took Tylenol which helped my pain at night. That's about it. Mine just all of the sudden one day disappeared once the baby shifted positions-I had immediate relief. When you are sleeping on your side, try to put a lioow under your hip bone to raise your buttocks up a little bit. You would be amazed at how much shifting your hip bone can help. Play with your belly and try to get the baby to shift around also.

Hope you get some sleep soon!!!
