I'm not a doctor, but I believe you would be best waiting until at least 15-16 weeks to look for gender on U/S. I have not heard of anyone finding the sex on u/s prior to 14 weeks. For us, we found out at our 20 week ultrasound.

I have had an ultrasound at 9.5 weeks and can promise you that the doctor nor ultrasound tech could tell the gender at that point.
