With my visit to see the doctor last Tuesday, the 27th, he started talking to me about the flu vaccination, it seems it's been flying through our town here and hitting everyone, including my obgyn, who just got over it over the past weekend. I told him that I had already had the flu, it rippled through my family about 3 weeks ago. First my oldest daughter, my youngest, my husband, then poor ol' pregnant me, and then my step son. It didn't affect me like it did the rest of my family. I only threw up once and never had any other symptom, not so "poor ol' pregnant me" after all. He said that since I've already had it, that I didn't need to be vaccinated.. Does this sound accurate? I do know the last time I got a flu shot ( I worked in a nursing home) I was sick for a week afterwards. It just so happened I got the flu shot my last night of work, before my vacation.... It was a miserable one.
