Kelly Shanahan, MD, : "Re: still bleeding 4 weeks after miscarriage" I had my first miscarriage 4 weeks ago at 5.5 weeks and I'm still bleeding moderate to heavy at times. I did not have a D&C but I've been having quantative Hcg levels weekly.At first my levels were dropping but about 2 weeks ago I had a surge. My bleeding almost stopped but about 5 days ago it became heavy again. I'm concerned because I'm also very tired all the time and have sparadic slight cramping. My last Hcg test indicated my levels were dropping. Is it normal to bleed this long?If anyone has experianced this please let me know.
