what is a normal cervical length?

I am currently 15 weeks pregnant. My cervix measured 3.7 last week and 3.2 at today's appt. It is obviously getting shorter but at what point am I at risk for losing the baby? I read in the archives that anything under 2.5 is cause for concern, is that right? My dr. was out of town so I saw another one in the practice - they didn't seem too concerned about it. Is is bad that the cervix shortened that much in one week? I see my dr. again in a week.

Thanks.
