How does Clomid effect an IUI?From: Jodie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Mar 2001 14:46:18 -0600 (CST)
My husband and I have been ttc for a year and 5 months. We have been seeing a fertility specialist and he has decided to have us have an IUI. My husband and I both had a fertility work-up and we found out that my husband has a rare problem where he produces a massive amount of semen which dilutes his sperm and causes his motility to go down to 45%. My test came back fine. The specialist put me on 50mg of Clomid days 3-7, I have read that women who ovulate on there own shouldn't take clomid and that it makes conception more dificult. Is clomid normally prescribed for and IUI? How does it make conception more difficult? Will this effect my ovulation in the future? Also is 45% bad for motility? Any information or advice you could give me I would be very greatful. Thank you so much.
