BHCG levelsFrom: Dounia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Mar 2001 14:39:02 -0600 (CST)
I had a very heavy bleeding (for a month an a half) 2 months ago....My doctor did a blood test only approximately three weeks after I started the bleeding and did not find any signs of pregnancy. She concluded that it was perhaps an unovulatory cycle.....Since then, no periods, my doctor sent me to have an ultra-sound done, the results are some sort of clotting, probably left overs of a miscarriage as I am not pregnant. My question is: could the BHCG levels drop right after a miscarriage? or are they suppose to stay significant for a while?... (I had my hormonal levels checked they're OK as well as a biopsy of uterus for endometriosis so it is not that!) Thanks for helping me understand
