A fever in a one month old is very concerning. This could be one of many infections, including late onset GBS infection. This is not something to be taken lightly, as infections can cause meningitis (infection of the spinal fluid and brain), leading to hearing loss or long term disabilities.

My first baby was very sick with a bacterial infection, and believe me, you want to have this taken care of now, even if that means hospitalization. Hopefully all will be well in the next several days! Better to be safe than sorry!!
