Re: pain with Clomid therapyFrom: Sarah (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Mar 2001 14:36:34 -0600 (CST)
I had a similar experience on the same dose. I took it days 5-9 and by the time I got to about day 12-13 I was so bloated and having so much pain I had trouble sitting, driving the car, wearing anything that touched my stomach etc. By day 16 I was about to give up and thought I would never O but on day 17 I did (it was really painful - repeated episodes of intense stabbing on the side I was ovulatin on)... anyway, the doctor did an ultrasound and everything looked OK with a nice follicle etc.... and I got pregnant too even though I wouldn't say that part was very enjoyable on that particular day (ha-ha-ha). The pain eventually subsided after a few days but the bloating did continue and so did some of the pain. I do have endometriosis and pelvic congestion which are irritated by estrogen so some of the lingering stuff I had may have been due to those things. I hope you have good luck soon so that you don't have to go through this too many times. Before I had my right ovary removed I couldn't even make it through the 5 days of the clomid pill taking before I ended up in the ER doubled over in pain thinking something had burst... it hadn't but that ovary was just really bothersome.
