HypoglycemicFrom: Shay (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Mar 2001 10:25:40 -0600 (CST)
Years before I got PG I found out that I was HypoG. It caused a lot of problems in the beginning of this PG(1st 3 mos) but not since. I just got back from taking the hour glucose test and my sugar level was 57, which I thought was low. BUT the nurse said it was fine and so did OB. Twice before I passed out with it at 43 and 45, and that's when I haven't eaten properly. How could it be only 55 after drinking all that sugar? I had to change OB's at 21 weeks and realized on the way home that I forgot to tell my new OB about my HG. (I had an U/S today and the suger thing didnt start to bother me until I left the office) I'm thinking if it was that low after drinking the sugar drink then maybe it has been low all thru my PG. Can this cause a problem for baby? I have felt OK. I'm 31 weeks. Is it not a problem?
