Problems in pregnancyFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Mar 2001 00:33:05 -0600 (CST)
I found out I was pregnant at 9 weeks. I had severe abdominal pain and doctor told me I had a cyst on my uterus. Every since I have had one problem after another. This is second pregnancy, first was perfect. I am currently in my 36th week and on bedrest. I went in to premature labor at 32 weeks, then again at the beginning of 35th week. Dr. gave me Breathane and now I am having severe asthma attacks and difficulty breathing due to drug. At or around 30 weeks I was diagnosed with pelvic seperation and given Vicodin for the pain. About 2 weeks later I was hospitalized because the baby's heartrate was below 90 Beats-Per-Minute and it felt like he was having seizures inside me. Could this have been from the Vicodin? After 2nd premature labor, I started bleeding, like a period at first, then just heavy spotting. My doctor didn't seem concerned, he said that because my cervix was under so much stress it could have caused the bleeding. After 4 days of the bleeding, he finally sent me for a sonogram to check for tearing in uterus. The baby and everything was fine, but what could be causing the bleeding? I have been dialated 3cm since 34 weeks, 70% effaced, but my cervix is still very high. My doctor said that he will not stop my labor if I should go into labor again. I am still bleeding and can hardly move, even the prescribed Breathane doesn't stop the contractions. Any idea on how long until this is over? and is all of this normal? I am very concerned. Should I seek a second opinion? Do you think the meds that I am on are causing some of the problems?
