non stress testFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 25 Mar 2001 15:32:12 -0600 (CST)
I need some information on a non stress test if I could. I went on Friday for one, as I had felt a little less movement. The baby did fine according to the nurses, as he had "reactives" and his heart went up during the test when he moved. What I am more concerned about is during the duration of the test, (which was about 30-40 minutes) his heart dropped once to about 90, and one other time to 115. He is usually in the 150's at my doctors office. The nurses did not explain if this was normal or not, but I could hear it and I asked them how low it got, and they told me. It would pick right back up, maybe within a few seconds, but I have heard the normal range is 120-160, so should I be worried that his got below that. I am 30 weeks, and now very worried. The baby's movements have picked up since the test...but now I don't know what to think about his heart doing this? Hoping you have heard of this.
