Sinus/Cough/Bad Sore Throat- Please HelpFrom: Claudia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 22 Mar 2001 18:57:37 -0600 (CST)
I am 17 weeks pregnant and on Sunday I woke up with a slight tickle in my throat. By 8pm, I had a sore throat, I was coughing (yellow/green phlegm), sneezing and throwing up. I had a bad night but by Monday morning I was no longer throwing up. I had a a fever of 100 on tuesday but since then my temperature has been slightly below 98.6 degrees. I've taken Sudafed for my sinus problem, tylenol for the fever(took it twice), Halls for the throat and kept the vaporizer on at night. All that seemed to be helping until now...my throat is really hurting me. Called the doctor and the nurse prescribed Zithromax without seeing me. This is our first baby so I am worrying about taking antibiotics, do my symptoms warrant such actions? I would appreciate your input, thanks in advance for your help and time!
