3-d ultrasounds

If that is not available, coud you please suggest how to go about receiving an extra ultrasound in general (2d)? We have an HMO which only covers one ultrasound mid-pregnancy. I would very much like to have another one and would be happy to pay for it myself. Unfortunately my obgyn does not have a u/s in his office and sends his patients for u/s to the fetal assessment dept at the hospital. Do I just contact fetal assessment directly and ask for an u/s to be billed to me directly or do you recommend something else instead?
