Thanks The label "Level II ultrasound" is outdated and is currently referred to as a "Targeted Ultrasound". A targeted ultrasound consists of the standard measurements, fetal position, fluid volume, and placental position with the addition of a detailed survey of the fetal anatomy. This differs from a level I scan by this detailed anatomic survey. As to who is qualified to perform the exam, this is varied. Certainly Perinatologists are qualified. Additionally, some Obstetricians and Radiologists are qualified, depending upon their training and their practice history... Lynn
