I am 4 weeks pregnant, LMP 2-20-01, I am currently taking Urocit K for medulary sponge kidney. I take 20 meq BID. I have been on this med for about 1 year. I have not found much research on this med for pregnancy and/or lactation, nor has my OB/GYN. I have a history of a pregancy loss in which the fetus had a neural tube defect.

Does anyone have any knowledge or references for safety in pregnancy and lactation.

Oh, by the way I am taking Folic Acid 4 mg a day, and have been since November, 2000!
