Tanya

It can be normal. It is caused by the friability of the cervix in early pregnancy and the trauma that sex causes to the more engorged cervix. On the other hand it could be an early sign of miscarriage. My advice is to lay low, no more sex/heavy lifting/vigorous activity. If no more bleeding, it is probably ok, but still report to md in am. If persists, better to call today and report it. Good Luck
