A medical Question about HCGFrom: Stacy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 15 Mar 2001 22:56:22 -0600 (CST)
I know without a doubt that I conieved on 2-14-01 or a day or two after. My doctor is telling me that my pregnancy is not viable due to my very low and not doubling HCG levels. However, my levels are still rising. On Mon.3-5 level was 58, on Wed.3-7 level was 72. Then on Mon.3-12 level was 189, and on Wed. 3-14, level was 299. The Dr. is telling me that I should begin bleeding soon. I am cramping off and on but I always cramp during pregnancy. ( OF course I have never carried a baby past the first trimester either, this will be my third miscarriage with no living children). My progesterone this pregnancy was 22. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check for an ectopic pregnancy but I am not having any ectopic sx. Is there any documentation or has anyone heard of a women carrying a baby to term with such low HCG levels that were not doubling every 48 hours?? I am not bleeding at all. Thanks, Staci
