Studies show that if Clomid has been used for 6 months, all other factors being equal, and there is no pregnancy, there is no benefit to continue it longer. The next step depends upon you and your RE. There are really two main options. One is called hyperstimulation. Medications are used that induce egg production, more than Clomid with the thought that you are increasing your odds by having more eggs available. This is combined with ultrasounds and blood tests to assure follicle (egg) maturation and ovulation. Finally, it is also combined with intrauterine insemmination of your husbands prepared semen specimen. The other option is IVF, which is self explanatory and more expensive than the hyperstim... Lynn
