I had my 39 week appointment today and my doctor did an internal exam. I am still long and closed. He implied that I will go over and most likely be induced. Is this probable since I am 39 weeks and have made no progress? Don't some women dilate and efface the same day they give birth. I guess I would like some encouragement that I may not have to be induced!! thanks jill
