Amy and anyone else who has survived this what is the actual percentage of women who do survive?? It seems like the percent is high because I see alot of women in the past who have posted here and survived but yet the Drs say its rare. I am just curious about actual statistics. I asked my own dr and he said in all his years of practice non that he has seen have lived? That scares me. Are there different extremes or types of embolism's that determine this?

Thanks for any input
