Had 2 miscarriages-have some questions about baby asprin and folic acid

I've had experienced 2 m/cs in 6 months. The first was a blighted ovum, second was chemical pg. My Dh has an abnormal sperm count, morphology, etc. which is believed to be the possible cause of the m/cs. (The stats are improving-he had a varicocele repair in Sept)My Ob/Gyn order a large panel of blood work on me to test for immune problems, lupus, homrone levels, etc. All seemed to be normal.

I have been taking prenatals for almost 2 years now. My concern is that my Dr. has prescribed me to take a total of 5 mg of folic acid per day. I tend to think this is a high dosage of folic acid. I am wondering if there is any medical advice out there on this. I don't want to take a supplement if it's unnecessary. I don't think folic acid is the problem with my m/cs. In addition to the folic acid, the Dr. has recommend that I take 1 baby asprin per day, even though my blood work is normal. Is there any harm in taking asprin? Again, I don't want to take something if it's unnecessary. Does baby asprin help to thicken uterine linig? There is some concern that my lining was too thin with the last pg, thus causing a m/c. There is no proof for this, just suspicion b/c I had a D & C 5 months prior.

Thanks for any help or advice!
