I recently had an IUD removed after five trouble-free years. The IUD looked white and rather worn, and a smear showed that I have a mild cervical infection. The doctor said that my fertility will return when my body is ready. I've had one period since although it was very short and with bright red blood.

My question is this: would you advise that I delay trying to conceive for some months? I am 37 and have three children.
