2 blastocyst transfered, but only 1 miscarried?From: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 28 Feb 2001 20:13:06 -0600 (CST)
After IVF transfer of 2 really nice blastocyst 10 days ago, I got what I thought was my period this morning (day of scheduled HCG test). We did the blood serum HCG test anyway, which showed a low positive (6). I am taking another test in 2 days to see if the HCG # increases, but I am not sure that I can stand the next few days. The clinic said that they have experienced multiple transfers, where only 1 miscarries, but the other transfered blastocyst successfully implants. My question is how likely is that? I am experiencing a fairly heavy flow, moderate to severe cramping early this morning with start of cycle, but much less now. Flow is still strong. This is my second IVF attempt. I would prefer not to foster false hope at this point and just move on if that is the inevitable, but I don't want to remove all hope if it is a possibility either!
