Rare Fertility ProblemFrom: Jodie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Feb 2001 15:36:27 -0600 (CST)
My husband and I have been trying to conceive a child for over a year and a half. We went to see a specialist and he had us do all of the fertility testing. I came back completely fine except I am told I have a really retroverted uterus, my husband came back with having a rare problem, I don't know what it is called but my doctor says that his body naturally produces a large amount of semen and it then drowns out his sperm. His fertility was normal but the motility came out to be a little low it came to 45% instead of 50% (I guess thats the normal precentage.)he says his motility is low because his sperm can not swim through the semen and therefore he thinks it never makes it to my egg in time. The doctor suggested that I go on 50mg of clomid and then have an IUI done.(I will be doing that in March) I could not find any information on my husbands condition anywhere, Does anyone have any info on this? or a success story on conception? any advice or comments are very much appreciated and welcome! Thanks
-- Jodie
