I am a pregnant nurse practitioner. This is my second pregnancy; my first ended in fetal demise at 22 weeks. The autopsy was negative, cultures were negative. I work at a big city hospital on a bone marrow transplant unit. I am confused about what kind of infectious patients are harmful to my baby. I am now 10 weeks pregnant. I had a flu shot in 11/00. I took care of a patient last week, and it turns out now the patient has influenza b. Was caring for this patient dangerous to my pregnancy?

Thank you for your time, Gigi
