3 months post myomectomyFrom: Jan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 17 Feb 2001 15:50:34 -0600 (CST)
Hi! 3 months ago, I had a myomectomy/laparotomy to remove 19 fibroid tumors. Prior to surgery, I didn't have any cramps or pain assoicated with my fibroids. The surgery went very well and my doctor (subspecialist in gyn surgery) said I don't have to come back for any more follow up visits unless I have trouble getting pregnant and then I could come back for an HSG so that he could check my tubes for scarring. I last saw him 2 weeks ago for my 2nd post op visit and he said that there are no signs of problems so he would not be doing an hsg right now. Here is my problem: I did not get pregnant this past cycle (doc gave me the OK to try to conceive at 6 weeks post op). I had slight cramping sensations on alternating ovaries for the last 11 days of my cycle My first post op period I had cramps, my second post op period I had no cramps, and this one is back to being crampy again. Should I call my doctor and talk to him again? Can this pain be adhesions growing? Should I be worrying? Prior to surgery, I never used to have cramps Thanks! Janice
