Abnormal smear result/ pregnancy (re-post)From: amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 17 Feb 2001 11:54:11 -0600 (CST)
I have just received the results from a Pap smear taken three weeks ago which say I have a mild, non-specific inflammatory reaction showing marked reserve cell hyperplasia and squamous metaplasia (mostly immature). I am certain that I am in the early throws of pregnancy - my fourth pregnancy so I do recognise the symptons. Does this smear result present any problems concerning my pregnancy? It is three weeks before an OB/GYN next visits my town: do I need to take any action before then? Thank you for your help.
