irregular smear result & pregnantFrom: amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 17 Feb 2001 03:47:28 -0600 (CST)
I think my question was missed and I am very concerned. I have just received the results from a smear taken three weeks ago which say I have a mild, non-specific inflammatory reaction showing marked reserve cell hyperplasia and squamous metaplasia (mostly immature). Since the smear was done I am certain that I am in the early throws of pregnancy - my fourth pregnancy so I recognise the symptons. Will this smear result cause complications to my pregnancy? It is three weeks before our next obgyn visit - do I need to take action before that?
