large ovarian cyst

What are the chances that this cyst will resolve itself? I've had it throughout the entire pregnancy, but in the 3rd trimester it has rapidly grown. As of Jan 9, it measured 9.4 cm. It is on my right ovary, and has pulled the ovary down behind my uterus and the cyst is sitting at the pelvic opening.

I am now 37 weeks & 2 days and my OB is not monitoring the cyst. While I was on rotation (my OB practice has 6 doctors), the doctor who first saw the u/s pictures of it since it has grown so large talked to me about the possibilities of a c-section. He said although it appears to have no malignant qualities, it was beginning to look like something that definitely needs to come out. He also said that because of the position of the cyst, the baby may not be able to work his way through the birth canal. This dr also said that the cyst can be removed during a c-section if we ended up having a c-section.

So, when I went back to my regular OB 2 weeks later, he said the cyst is no reason to schedule a c-section, that it can resolve itself, and that the chances of having to operate to remove it are unlikely. He said the baby's head is in front of the cyst and with the baby being so low already, he forsees no trouble with him getting through the birth canal. He also said there's more of a chance of losing the ovary if they remove the cyst during a c-section.

I'm sorry this is so long, but I get frusterated when my OB won't even discuss the possibility of a c-section, when his partner of more than 25 years sees it as a viable possibility.

Also, at my 37 wk appt, my fundal height measures 32 cm, the same as at my 36 week appt. My dr isn't concerned about that either.

Again, sorry about the length of this post. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
