Last mens. per. 83 days ago(Induced by Prometrium)After period, Clomid 100, no ovulation...then no period after. Four weeks later ultrasound showed 2 follicles 2.5 cm ea., so took clomid 150mg. Ultrasound 2 weeks later showed a large follicle (dr. thought from previous clomid round), and 5 smaller ones yet still no ovulation. At this point, he felt I needed a HCG shot to trigger ovulation but this is out of his area of expertise, so I am awaiting my first RE appt. In the meantime, he prescribed another round (12 days)of Prometrium to induce period...but I finished it 4 days ago and no period symptoms in sight. I know my lining has thinned some from the clomid...to 7 or 8. I am 37 years old, have a nine year old son, and test neg. for thyroid, blood sugar problems. Any idea how/or if the RE will be able to get me to cycle?? Last spring my periods were frequent(every 2 wks), and very heavy. Now nothing. Had endometrial biopsy - no abnormalities. Doc. doesn't think I am pre-menapausal due to the number of follicles in response to the clomid. Do you think I may be able to cycle and become pregnant? Hubby has had 2 recent SA and they are normal. Thanks.
