i'm fairly sure i was regular before i went on the pill (which was 12
years ago, when i was 16). your experience really encourages me. i
went off the pill in october, had a provera period dec. 2 and had a
real period about jan. 15. if there's a chance that i might start
cycling after a while (and i think the fact that i had a natural period
is good), i don't want to start clomid, which doesn't have a
particularly high success rate. but some of the books i've read say
postpill amenorrhea is a myth (and my doctor seems to agree).
it's hard to know whom to believe, which is why i was hoping for lots of
people to tell me if they took awhile for their periods to come back
after they went off the pill.
i've been doing bbt and opk, and this cycle is looking like it'll be a
long one, too. (i should have ovulated already. i *have* ovulated
*once*, though -- that's good, right?!) but maybe i'll give it till
april or so before i give up.
