Most often bleeding of this kind comes from a condition clled marginal
separation, the edge of the placenta has shifted off teh uterus and can
bleed. At this gestational age, there is reasonably good chance the
baby would do OK if it had to be delivered because of bleeding. Without
knowing the whole history, my comment may be wrong, but I would be
inclined to keep her in the hospital.
