Recurring Hemorrhaging during pregnancyFrom: Raychael (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 5 Feb 2001 18:34:57 -0600 (CST)
This is my first time to the forum, and actually this condition is that of my sister's. She is in her 25th week, and for the last 3-4 weeks has been hemorrhaging (with large clots) excessively, and periodically every 6-10 days. Each time she has gone into the hospital, for a day or two, and then sent home-- needless to say, she is on continual bed rest. This last one was particularly severe, she passed out and had to receive a transfusion (2 units), although was again sent home after one day, with the prescription, "if you start bleeding again, and feel dizzy, come in". Not to comment on the quality of her care, but is there no history of possible causes and presciptions (other than, wait until you feel dizzy) for this condition? Thank you
